Diode, an electric vehicle technology start-up, has joined forces with ERA, a world leader in cost management. Together they will help businesses to manage their cost-effective transition to electric vehicles.

Diode specialises in electric vehicle suitability assessments, home and workplace charging infrastructure recommendations, and charge point procurement. This partnership will give ERA’s consultants an extra tool to help their customers reduce the cost of transitioning to an electric fleet.

ERA’s customers will have access to Diode’s Charge Platform software, including their industry-leading EV Readiness Assessment and instant EV Readiness Reports for employees. The report is packed with information on the employee’s access to charging, costs, and CO2 savings compared to their current vehicle, plus an interactive tool to assess how different EVs would fit into their lifestyle based on their specific driving behaviour.

Each business can then get a Charging Infrastructure Recommendation – which calculates the number and type of charge points they’ll need over the next 5 years, and the estimated cash savings they will make over this period. Diode helps to manage expectations by providing indicative costs for implementing these charge points.

Diode also manages the competitive tender process to ensure businesses get the right charge points installed for the best price. All of this can help them to budget and save money whilst they move to EV.

Founder and CEO of Diode Jon Horsfield said:

“We are excited to work with ERA to help transform businesses and support them to make savings as they move to EV. With ERA, we will work with businesses of all sizes to help them save money on their fleet and help them to achieve their company’s environmental objectives.”

“The EV revolution is happening right now, and businesses need to start the transition to electric vehicles. We can support them to do this in a cost-effective way.”

Sean Bingham, Principal Consultant for Fleet at ERA, said:

“Every business, regardless of industry, has a role to play in helping to drastically cut its carbon emissions, by both leading by example and helping others to do the same.”

“By partnering with Diode, we are really excited to help clients find their way through the minefield of moving across to a more sustainable fleet with a really honest, focused approach.”
